Self Love: Be Unapologetically You: A Self Love Guide for Women of Color by Adeline Bird
I absolutely loved reading through Self Love and doing the workbook exercises. This book helped me realize that I was still hurting from some things from my childhood that I always deemed as no big deal or brushed off. Being able to pin-point when the hurt occurred and identify how it was still affecting my life was a game changer. Adeline Bird encourages you to question everything you have ever believed about yourself and to own your uniqueness. If you are truly ready to explore your true self and develop your sense of self-love as a woman of color, I highly recommend giving this book a read.

Unlocking the Queen Code: Divine Keys to Reclaiming Your Throne by Molesey Crawford
I adore and admire Molesey Crawford’s dedication to empowering woman to reclaim their majestic femininity. If you don’t follow her on social media, do so stat.  Her messages will inspire you and have you yelling YAAASSSS! This book is no different. Crawford helps you focus on the vision you have for your life and gives you tools to take strategic steps towards your goals. When I first started reading this book, I foolishly thought I could write the answers down on scrap pieces of paper. I quickly found that I had to dedicate a whole notebook to reflecting on the questions and exercises in the book.  Unlocking the Queen Code is not a quick read and it’s meant to be that way. You will want to take your time with this one.

Your Next Level Life: 7 Rules of Power, Confidence, and Opportunity for Black Women in America by Karen Arrington
A very short but great read. In this book, Karen Arrington dishes on the must have seven rules for redefining what success means for you. Rule #1 (Identify Your Superpowers) and Rule #2 (Find Your Next Level Friends) resonated with me. They were a confirmation of sorts to the push I was feeling to surround myself with a supportive network and to hone in on what really drives me. The only cons to this book is the length and that I wish that Arrington went into more depth. Honestly, I would not purchase this book full price. Either try to find it used or borrow it from the Kindle Unlimited store.
